If you are looking for larger towns to enjoy a combination of first-class shopping, excellent restaurants for lunch and dinner and perhaps a theatre for some entertainment in the evening, you might want to visit the regency towns of Cheltenham (20 mins) or Bath (30 mins). Swindon (25 mins) also offers an excellent designer outlet for heavily discounted brands. Cribbs Causeway (45 mins) at Bristol provides an excellent out of town shopping mall.

Alternatively, London is only just over an hour away by train from the village station at Kemble (5 mins).
