Spooktacular Half Term Fun

Carefully carve the perfect pumpkin, sneak down to the cellars to see the witches or meet the ghost of King Henry VIII and his six wives and learn about their lives during the Tudor times. Berkeley Castle is pushing the boat right out this year with events, attractions and pumpkin soup every day! Brilliant place to visit with your younger children to get a real Halloween feel in a gorgeous setting. Find out more!
Steam n Scream!
(Any age.)
Jump aboard the steam train for this spooky special at either Cheltenham Racecourse or Toddington Station for an experience filled with spooky activities, quizzes and ghost hunts!
However, you must beware – the event comes with a warning to be careful…you never know what might happen as you make your way through the haunted Great Tunnel or what might be waiting at the platform when you arrive at Winchcombe!

Shriek Week

Take a day out exploring the huge variety of birds that live around the Cotswolds. The area prides itself on its vast amount of wildlife, and the team at Birdland brings it all right in front of you along with an extensive amount of knowledge. During the half term week, visitors to the park will be able to let their imagination fly with a special Halloween themed ‘Myths & Legends’.
Discover why owls are considered to be so wise, where the legend of the Phoenix came from, and find out which bird’s call the Romans believed meant imminent death!

Scare Cave
(8 years+)
Rumour has it that a number of night time monsters are planning to take up residency within The Cave’s artificial caving system during Halloween Week. Not to be taken lightly with an unnamed member of staff admitting that “everything changes there at night”. Are you brave enough to enter? Come alone or with a group of friends and expect some tricks and treats whilst exploring the spooky setting. Discover more here…
Zombie Apocalypse
(Older children & adults.)
NOT for the faint hearted. What’s your survival plan for when the zombies attack? Well it’s time to evacuate as they invade right next door to us!!
Here’s what to expect from the ordeal…
- Pre-evacuation briefing in Ground Zero
- Launch your escape boat onto our lake to reach the decontamination zone on the island
- Board our rapid evac power boats deep into infested territory
- Navigate your way through the darkness of zombie infested woodland
- Find your way to safety in the militarised zone
- Enjoy a celebratory hot dog on us
- Treat yourself to a hot beverage

Spooky events, stunning settings and most of all, fun for all ages! There is a huge amount going in the Cotswolds and surrounding areas during the half term week which is definitely going to take those visiting us by surprise.
