The Cotswold Lakes (previously known as the Cotswold Water Park) are located 4 miles south of Cirencester.

The area is well connected and easy to reach by car.

Please note that road signs still show Cotswold Water Park.

By Road:

  • From the South (Bristol/South West): Take the M5 north to Junction 11A, then join the A417 towards Cirencester. Follow local signs to the lakes.
  • From the East (London/Reading/Oxford): Take the M4 west to Junction 15 (Swindon), then head north on the A419 towards Cirencester. Turn off at Spine Road junction (B4696) for direct access to the lake area.
  • From the West (Cheltenham/Gloucester): Use the A417 eastbound towards Cirencester, then follow signs for South Cerney and the Cotswold Water Park.

By Train:

The nearest train stations to the Cotswold Lakes are Kemble and Swindon, both about 15-20 minutes by taxi. Regular direct services run to both stations from London Paddington, Bristol and Cheltenham. There isn’t a taxi rank at Kemble and so please book a taxi in advance.
