Why our properties are a great option for wedding parties
Weddings are a great time for bringing families and friends together, many of which nowadays are spread around the globe and only get to see each other occasionally. So as well as celebrating the happy occasion, a wedding is a great opportunity for some quality family time.
At Orion Holidays, we have properties catering from 2 to 10 people and we regularly get wedding parties rent multiple lodges next to each other so that they can spend time together in the run up to the big day in a more informal, homely and relaxed setting than a hotel.
We have something for every generation in the Cotswolds and our lodges act as fantastic family friendly bases not only for the many wedding venues nearby but to create memories that will be treasured for years to come.
So whether you want to simply spend time together catching up, or do something more active such as fishing for those who want to take to the lakes, water activities and playgrounds for the children, spa access (available with selected properties) for the ladies who want to pamper themselves before and after the big day, we are sure that everyone will have a time to remember.

1. De Vere Cotswold Water Park
What would your perfect wedding backdrop be – endless lakes? Peaceful grounds? Panoramic views of the picturesque Cotswolds Lakes? With 7 contemporary spaces for civil ceremonies, the De Vere is the ideal venue to tie the knot with up to 500 loved ones around you. From small intimate suites to large airy rooms with ceiling to floor windows, they are there to cater to all needs.
This venue is walking distance from some of our properties and only a 5 minute drive away from most meaning your whole family could stay together in one property just a short walk away. We couldn’t recommend this jaw dropping wedding venue enough. Read all about it here:

2. Cricklade Hotel
Is your ideal wedding all about the glitz and the glamour? Stun your guests in the jaw-dropping ballroom at the Cricklade Hotel with beautiful chandeliers and wall lights dispersed all down the elegant room. Included in the price you can get your own private garden to extend the party outside, or even to get married in if you’re after the outdoor setting.
This venue is around a ten minute drive from most of our properties so you can arrive at your venue in little to no time whilst keeping your party all in one place overnight and during the days.

3. Cripps Barn
Here is the picture perfect barn you have been dreaming of. This endlessly versatile wedding venue can almost guarantee you the perfect day with its romantic Cotswolds views, magical woodlands and open roaring fires. With traditional interior decor and wooden beams, this idyllic setting will leave you feeling butterflies all day.
The team at Cripps will be there from start to finish to ensure that no detail is spared, every tummy is full and all guests are looked after.

4. Westonbirt
For numerous years Westonbirt has been the wedding venue for many happy couples. Mostly known for its remarkable variety of stunning trees, greenery and beautiful views, it’s undeniable that the area is picture perfect for tying the knot in.
The house was originally built in 1665 and replaced over time but has always kept its stunning Victorian style architecture. This, alongside the exclusive use of the house and gardens, will create an unforgettable celebration with your family.
