Christmas in the Cotswolds

We had a wonderful Christmas holiday stay in South Cerney. The location was perfect – peaceful, scenic, and ideal for a relaxing festive break, while still being close to lovely walks, lakes, and local amenities.

The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, making it feel like a real home away from home. It was especially cosy over the Christmas period and had everything we needed to enjoy quality family time together.

South Cerney itself is a great base for exploring the Cotswolds, and we loved how quiet and calm it felt during the holidays. Overall, it was a fantastic stay and we wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend it to others looking for a relaxing getaway, especially over Christmas.

Orion Holidays were brilliant. We stayed at the Cotswolds Lake House for 5 nights over Christmas.

Orion answered any query promptly. They made up the sofa bed in the house as requested and the agent was at the house when we arrived and could answer any queries. Very helpful. No complaints. Had a wonderful holiday and would definitely recommend them.

I would highly recommend Orion holidays and 66 Windrush where we stayed . Everything was spot on . Very clean and an absolutely lovely house with everything we needed for our stay , there was nothing we needed to ask for.

As we were there between Christmas and new year it was so nice that there was a christmas tree and other festive decorations to welcome us , it really felt like , home from home . I would have no hesitation in booking this house again it was so nice .

We stayed on Clearwater Lake as a late Xmas as we were unable to be together in December. The house was immaculate with an open fire and hot tub with views of the lake.
The house was a stones throw from the cafe/restaurant, soft play and spa, all of which were great. The staff on site are so friendly.
I would definitely recommend a stay here. Everything was well organised by Orion in advance.
