Why You Should Come to the Cotswolds for a Celebration

What makes a perfect celebration? Is it the people? The location? How does getting all of your favourite people together and escaping to the Cotswolds Water Park where you can gaze across stunning views, make unforgettable memories and have a wonderful range of activities right on your doorstep sound?

We see groups of families and friends time and time again flock to the Cotswolds to celebrate an occasion and simply enjoy each others company – a luxury you may not get often when life gets in the way.

There are so many different ways to celebrate in the Cotswolds that are suitable for all and we’d love to share them with you.

What are you Celebrating?

Gathering your Loved Ones for a Milestone Anniversary

Celebrating a birthday with a big zero? Or maybe your next anniversary is coming up. Big milestone occasions are perfect excuses to get all your loved ones around you. Take it to the next level this time and escape for the weekend.

Our properties can cater for up to 10 people and if you get a couple of lodges side by side, there would be plenty of room for you to celebrate and catch up with everyone.

Celebrating your anniversary with close family is always a special thing to be able to do. With activities and places of interest on your doorstep, there is something for every age group to amuse themselves with during the day. In the evening you can come back together and talk about the day as you enjoy an evening meal and look out across the lakes.

Accommodating your Wedding Party

Planning the perfect wedding takes time, but as any bride and groom will tell you, the day itself passes so fast. Whether you are the lucky couple or a family member there is little time to get around and speak to everyone who may have travelled a good distance to be there.

At Orion Holidays we often have wedding parties that choose to extend their celebrations by renting out multiple lodges next to each other. Our cottages are ideally located near some of our favourite wedding venues in the Cotswolds, and provide the perfect base to get to the wedding itself, but also provide a stunning and relaxing environment to spend time catching up with family and friends before or after the big day.

What to do in the Cotswolds

A Quiet Celebratory Spa Break

Celebrations don’t have to be about being lively and busy. Sometimes the best celebrations are just about taking some well deserved “me” time with some of your closest friends and family.  If this is you, have you considered a spa weekend?

Indulge in pure relaxation in one of the three spa’s you could have access to whilst staying with us in the Cotswolds Water Park. All of the spas provide the ultimate indulgent spa experience and have a range of treatments on offer, as well as pools, saunas and more.

Treating yourself to a spa break might be the perfect way to privately celebrate that special occasion, with a self-catering holiday home set in stunning and relaxing surroundings.

Personal Chef Service

Often, we will celebrate a special occasion by going out for a meal but Dineindulge can bring that special meal right to you at your holiday home.

Their professional chefs combine private and personal dining with restaurant quality cuisine using your own kitchen so there is no need to prepare that gourmet meal for your loved ones or wash up after.

This is a truly special way to give yourself the night off and celebrate spending time talking to those you’ve come away with.

A Royal Experience

One attraction that is particularly unique to the area and is perfect for a special occasion is a visit to The Royal Gardens at Highgrove, the private residence of TRH The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall. Situated near Tetbury, it is just a short drive from our holiday homes and visitors can have a guided tour around the stunning gardens and enjoy lunch or afternoon team in the Orchard Room. There are various tours and dates available but places are limited and you need to book in advance.  More information can be found here.

If you are thinking of having a short break with us in the Cotswolds during September, October or November we have the  Orion Holidays Royal Garden Experience Breaks which include a Private Tour of the Royal Gardens at Highgrove as part of your stay with us

Christmas in the Cotswolds

Thinking of having Christmas away from home this year, but still, want those home-from-home comforts? We regularly have guests who decide to come and spend Christmas in the Cotswolds at one of our cottages or lodges.

Let us help you create truly special and magical memories as you celebrate in the gorgeous surroundings of the Cotswolds. Whether you want to visit the wonderful Bath Christmas markets with stalls selling delicious mulled wine and unique gifts or just want to enjoy a crisp winter walk in the Cotswold countryside, the Cotswolds Water Park makes the perfect base.
